'the' Kitchen

First time here. Came with a small group for breakfast. It's s small standalone building, with large front windows. To the right of it is "The Parlor" which I think is a bar. (Inside is an open doorway that connected the two) Inside is a breakfast counter, and then table that go towards the rear. It's a bit narrow at the back, giving you a bit more privacy, and quiet. Inside we got greeted by a friendly host. Got us to a table towards the back. There were fans blowing, so we ended up moving tables. We got waters, menus, and placed our drink orders. The service was friendly and efficient. Ordered a Belgian Waffle, Pancakes with Eggs, and some BlueBerry Pancakes. Everything came out quickly. Hot, and Tasty. We were expected that the BlueBerry pancakes would have had the blueberries in the pancakes. Also, the picture of the Belgian Waffle showed whipped cream, and some fruit, but the what came was just plain. (not a big deal, just different than shown). I decent breakfast.

The breakfast food was prepared in an excellent manner, very clean open kitchen kids loved watching . Pancakes are exceptional, and have a very great homemade taste. Stuffed hash browns, omelettes, and French toast were all excellent. Staff is extremely welcoming , very kid friendly atmosphere. There is a real pride to ownership at the restaurant. Two people in our party got wraps they liked those as well. We will have to give this a try for dinner or a fish fry. The only improvement I could suggest is having a sign at the front telling people to seat themselves. There was a bit of confusion at the entrance of people waiting to pay and waiting to be seated they didn’t have to wait. Overall, for someone looking for a good diner with quality food this would be the place. If you have young kids, I wouldn’t hesitate going. First time going and will be returning.

Been through Sussex, but never stopped. This was a great recommendation I received! The food was good,the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice!
